We are currently fundraising to support an Emergency Response to 3,106 families in Ombadja area, Cunene province, southern Angola who have moved in search of food and clean water.
This emergency response project is initiated and led by the local Anglican churches in this area. Large numbers of people have moved from the Namibian border areas because of the severe drought. The churches conducted a survey of these families to understand their needs and prioritise the vulnerable.
The project will last 6 months and will focus on food & clean water provision & hygiene education and behaviour change.
The project aims to support 15,530 people over 6 months and will cost a total of £23,188.
MANNA has been working with the Anglican dioceses, churches & communities across these areas for many years and the dioceses are working with the government and other local partners to support communities projects like this.
Please help us and donate.
