The situation in Mozambique worsens after Cyclone Idai & devastating flooding.
President Nyusi is predicting the death toll will be over 1,000. There are thousands injured and hundreds of thousands of people are displaced and have lost homes & livelihoods. Entire villages have been washed away. Countless people are still stranded in trees & on top of buildings isolated since Saturday when the Buzi & Pungue basins flooded.

MANNA has been working with the churches and communities across these areas for over 100 years.
We are in it for the long haul. We want to support those in desperate need now and then later as waters disappear and they seek to rebuild their lives. It’s what we do and what we have been doing for decades alongside these communities. The dioceses are already responding with emergency support and we want to support them.
